From a single paw target to a small paw course
Balance Pods give your dog clear targets for individual paws. The compact, textured surface feels different from the floor and is well suited to calm paw-target exercises.
The number of pods determines the type of setup: one creates a single target, two allow two-paw exercises and four give you enough elements for a small paw course.
How many pods do you need?
One pod is enough for a first target or one defined paw position. With two, you can place front or hind paws parallel or staggered. Four pods are useful for setups involving all four paws or short stepping sequences.
Set the distances to suit your dog
Start with an arrangement your dog can understand calmly. You can then change the distance, order and layout. Straight lines are usually easier at the beginning than tight or strongly staggered sequences.
Adjust air pressure gradually
Air pressure also changes the firmness of the pods. Make small adjustments and avoid increasing distance, sequence complexity and surface yield at the same time.

How to use the balance pods
Start with a single balance pod and reward calm, deliberate paw placement. Add further elements only once your dog understands the task.
- Place the pods securely on a level surface.
- Adapt spacing to your dog’s size and stride length.
- Start with simple straight arrangements when using several pods.
- Use under supervision and stop using damaged products.
Professional guidance for physio or rehabilitation goals
Balance pods may also be used within professionally guided training programmes. If your dog has pain, a medical condition, neurological abnormalities or limitations after injury or surgery, the specific exercise should be discussed with a veterinarian or canine physiotherapist.
